Not too long ago, we had reported about the NTR biopic! The film, which has been garnering much attention for its grandeur and ensemble star cast, will feature Rana Daggubati in a prominent role. The Baahubali actor will play the role of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and has already started prep for the same. Here’s the proof:
Rana Daggubati was recently seen having a meeting with Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu for the NTR biopic on Friday. In fact, he even posted about the meeting on his twitter handle wherein he shared a picture from the same saying, “What an honour it is to play the role of the Honourable ChiefMinister of Andhra Pradesh Mr.N.ChandraBabuNaidu @ncbn in the #NTR biopic. Thank you sir for giving us your valuable time.”
The Ghazi Attack actor will be playing the younger version of Naidu in the biopic when he was a youth leader in the state. Speaking about the role, Rana mentioned in reports that it was his filmmaker friend Krish who approached him for the part. He also stated that while he is happy about collaborating with the director with whom he has worked in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum, he also added that the two of them are huge NTR fans. In fact, Rana’s filmmaker grandfather D Rama Naidu too has worked with NTR in films.
Speaking on his character in NTR biopic, Rana also revealed about how Chandrababu Naidu has had a great influence in the society and people. However, at the same time, he also asserted that he won’t be imitating the politician. He also spoke about how the film will explore the beginning of the Telugu Desam Party.
On the other hand, Rana also expressed his happiness of joining hands with the Bollywood actress Vidya Balan. The actress, who is a South Indian, will be playing the leading lady in the NTR biopic wherein she will be playing the role of Basavatarakam. Also, NTR’s son Nandamuri Balakrishna will be seen as the protagonist.
