Destination Wedding has always been famous among the couples who are all set to tie knot. While Bollywood celebrities such as Anushka Sharma – Virat Kholi, Deepika Padukone –Ranveer Singh decided to get hitched  overseas, there are some celebrities like Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas who have zeroed down on Rajasthan for their nuptial vows.

You must be wondering why did Priyanka and Nick who already have their respective home and friends in New York, decided to get hitched in Rajasthan when they could have easily kept a lavish wedding in the foreign country.

Let us tell you that when it comes to wedding, Rajasthan is no less famous than any foreign destination. In fact apart from many Indian celebrities there are many Hollywood celebrities who have tied knot in Rajasthan. Such is the charm of this Indian city that people have left their cities and choose it above all. Katy Perry and Russell Brand ( Aman-i-Khas )

The couple tied the knot on 23rd October, 2010, in a grand wedding in Rajasthan. They reportedly exchanged vows in front of around 80 guests at the exclusive Aman-i-Khas resort near the Ranthambhore tiger sanctuary in Rajasthan. Organizers booked 21 camels and an assortment of elephants and horses for the marriage procession.  The wedding venue was brightly lit with lamps, lights illuminated the trees, and flower garlands decorated the luxury tents at the resort.

Raveena Tandon and Anil Thadani ( Shiv Niwas Palace )

The original Mast Mast girl, Raveena Tandon married to her now husband Anil Thadani on February 22, 2004, at Shiv Niwas Palace, Udaipur; against the majestic backdrop of Jag Mandir. When it comes to relishing the life of the erstwhile royalty of India, Shiv Niwas Palace Udaipur is simply the best place to be. The venue looked like a paradise when decorated with lights and flowers.

Actress Elizabeth Hurley married Indian businessman Arun Nayar in a fit-for-princess wedding at the Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur. The residence of Maharaja Gaj Singh II, Umaid Bhawan Palace counts among the most opulent homes ever built, with over three hundred and fifty rooms placed in between acres of splendid gardens. One wing houses the iconic Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel, allowing guests to get a taste of the royal life.

Rajat Tokas with Srishti Nayyar ( Zenana Mahal  )

Television actor Rajat Tokas married his girlfriend Srishti Nayyar at the Udaipur palace. Rajat, who played Akbar in hit TV Jodha-Akbar, arrived for his wedding in grand style on an elephant. . The Zenana Mahal is located at one end of the The City Palace, with the large spacious court or the Laxmi Chowk in the center. It was restored and developed as an exclusive open-to-sky venue in 1999-2000 to mark the millennium celebrations.

 Vikram Chatwal and Priya Sachdev ( Shiv Niwas Palace )

Vikram Chatwal and Priya Sachdev had a magnificent pre-wedding bash in Shiv Niwas Palace, Udaipur. The 3 levels of the palace are arranged in a semicircular arc around an internal courtyard in the middle of which is a marble pool. Balconies and rooftop terraces opening off different rooms enjoy views to the south of the gardens laid below the dam wall of Lake Pichola; while to the west, the island resorts of Jag Mandir and the Lake Palace.

Shriya Saran and Andrei Koscheev ( Deogarh Mahal )

Actress Shriya Saran tied the knot with Russian boyfriend Andrei Koscheev on March 19 at Deogarh Mahal, Udaipur. Deogarh Mahal is a heritage hotel that has its Royal character embedded into it. The Mahal has 55 rooms and each room has a distinct identity and treasures a history behind it. Every room has different themes, character and a name. The white floral décor with chandeliers and candles at the Sangeet night enamoured the foreigners, who also enjoyed the traditional wedding in one of the oldest palaces of Rajasthan.

Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rukmini Sahay ( Radisson Blu Palace Resort & spa  )

Bollywood Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh tied knot with Rukmani Sahay at Radisson Blu Palace Resort & spa on 9th February 2017. Set on the shores of Fateh Sagar Lake, this elegant, palatial resort hotel with a dome-accented roof is 2.9 km from City Palace and 4 km from the Saheliyon-ki-Bari gardens.  It was a three-day wedding affair and the occasion was graced by many Bollywood celebrities.

While neither Priyanka nor Nick has confirmed about the wedding details, it is said that the couple plans to host a 3-day grand celebration at Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur and 1500-2000 guests are expected to turn up which includes a number of Bollywood celebrities.
