Nimrat Kaur to work in American series

We had reported earlier that ‘Bobby Jasoos’ actor Ali Fazal was approached for a role in the US TV series ‘Homeland’, but the latest developments seemed to have changed the plan. Due to clash of dates the actor had to let go off the offer. And now, news is that actress Nimrat Kaur is the new Indian face who will be seen in the hit TV show!

“Pretty fun for someone who watched the pilot after the screen test! Season 4 Homeland it is,” Nimrat tweeted on Friday breaking the news on the micro-blogging site. In the show, Nimrat will be seen as a high-level operative within Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence. She would be seen along with the ‘Mad Men’star Mark Moses and Art Malik in the show.

Buzz is that Malik will appear in at least one episode, while Moses’ character Dennis is described as an academic teaching political science at Islamabad’s Quaid-I-Azam University. Produced by Fox 21, the series’ features Claire Danes and Damian Lewis as the lead. The current Season 4 is being shot in South Africa, where Cape Town is recreated as Islamabad. The series would go on air on October 5.
