Mumbai : isclosing about his next untitled movie and ruling out the reports of it being on current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, filmmaker Prakash Jha recently said that his next project is going to be on the current relationship between the police and the society.
What’s more, talking about his next film, Jha revealed that the shooting for his yet-untitled film would begin in January next year. “I have not decided on the name (of the movie) yet. It (the next movie) is about the relationship between police and society,” he said. The filmmaker is known for making films on topical issues. In fact his 2003 film ‘Gangajal’ was also on the same issue, about which he had said earlier that he would be revisiting a decade later.
Talking about his next film, the filmmaker said, “I am working on police-society relationship… I am not making a movie on Modi. His story is still unfolding. Let’s see how it shapes.” Jha is said to have written the script of his next movie himself.
Interestingly, when Jha was asked why he always chooses a social issue for his films, he replied saying, “I do not have an agenda. I am a little bit more curious than others and I want to bring those to the notice of the people.”
