In a shocking turn of events, television actor Ankit Gupta has quit Terre Ho Jaayein Hum, where he starred alongside his rumoured girlfriend Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. This news comes after his alleged breakup with Priyanka. Speculation about their split arose after the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram. The show was produced by Ravi Dubey and Sargun Mehta's Dreamiyata.
Confirming his exit, Ankit stated that he currently needs time for himself, further fuelling breakup rumours. His remark about needing personal time has added to the speculation surrounding his split with Priyanka Chahar Choudhary. He told Bollywood Bubble, "I backed out of the project with Ravi-Sargun. I don’t think that I would be able to do something for that project right now. And maybe I need some time for myself to rejuvenate and recharge myself."
Further, Ankit, who was rumoured to be participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, confirmed that he is no longer a part of the show either. "I'm just taking time for myself, so I’m not thinking about work right now," he added.
In December 2024, the first look of Terre Ho Jaayein Hum was unveiled on social media, featuring Ankit and Priyanka.
For the uninformed, Priyanka and Ankit starred opposite each other which was also produced by Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta's Udaariyan. Their on-screen chemistry as Tejo and Fateh was widely admired, and it quickly became one of the highlights of the show.
Later, Priyanka and Ankit, also known as 'PriyAnkit' by their fans, participated in the reality show Bigg Boss 16. While, they never publicly acknowledged a romantic relationship and always referred to each other as 'best friends.'
During their time in Bigg Boss 16, Priyanka confessed to having feelings for Ankit on Bigg Boss 16, the latter never commented on the status of their relationship.
