Nawaz goes commercial
Nawaz goes commercial

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who was seen with Irrfan Khan in ‘The Lunch Box’ recently, would be seen in the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Kick’ soon. After garnering considerable appreciation, he is ready to set foot in the masala genre. When asked about his role in ‘Kick’, Nawaz was keen on emphasising that it would not be a blink and miss it role. While Salman Khan is known to cast many new and talented actors in his films, it will be exciting to see what this novel and interesting combination will have to offer to us. Known for his work in ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur 1 and 2’, ‘Talaash’ and many more, the very talented Nawaz has always done something different and has been applauded for it as well.
On being asked what prompted this decision to do an out and out commercial film, he said, “I am not against all commercial films, I am against illogical films. All commercial films are not illogical.” Well, that was quite a quote! It will be exciting to watch this 39-year-old actor, who has illustrious films to his career graph, act in an out-and-out commercial entertainer. Siddiqui is, after all, Anurag Kashyap’s protégé who has made films like ‘Black Friday’ and ‘No Smoking’ in the past and is filming ‘Bombay Velvet’ these days.
In the past, Nawaz had been heard saying that he would not do any film wherein he doesn’t have a lead role. Seems like people change and real quick too!
