Karan Johar is one of the producers who is co-producing a lot of films these days. With the recent Dharma-Phantom collaboration, ‘Hasee Toh Phasee’ which has been liked by many and has got a great response at the box office, Karan is all set to collaborate with Guneet Monga again for the Indian remake of the French comedy ‘The Intouchables’.
Guneet and Karan collaborated on ‘The Lunchbox’, which got accolades for India from Cannes and back. Confirming the news, Karan’s spokesperson said, “It’s true.” Gaumont Film Company has moved forward as well to give a green signal to the international makeover of the film.
Yohann Comte, deputy head of sales at Gaumont, said: “From ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ to ‘The Lunchbox’, I’ve always believed that Guneet’s company was by far the most creative and trustworthy producer when it comes to delivering crowd-pleasing Indian films with a strong identity that can play well at festivals and beyond.”
