Bye bye monotony
What does the weekend signify for ‘Sufi Ki Sultana’, Harshdep Kaur?
She says, “The weekend usually signifies relaxation! Quality time with family, chilling at home, less traffic and a short break from the monotonous weekly schedule. Being an artist, my life is actually busier on weekends as concerts and cultural events take place mostly on weekends. But if I’m not working on the weekend, I try and make spontaneous plans with my husband.”
Relaxation mode
Ideally on a weekend Harshdeep would like to be at home with her family or go to the cinema hall to watch a film or go shopping and for dinner. She is not a regular reader but sometimes she does browse through a book.
She likes spending time with friends on a Saturday and so invites them over to her place “for dinner, music sessions and a lot of gup-shup. I binge-watch on Netflix and Amazon Prime a lot too.”
Thank God it’s Friday – sorry, every day
“Not really,” she says. “I thank God for every day.” No Monday morning blues either. She reasons, “Weekends give
you enough energy to kick start your Monday with a big smile!”
Home pampering
“I like being pampered but at home so I call for spa and beauty treatments at home. It’s very rejuvenating and I can binge
watch my favourite show while I get all the treatments done,” says Harshdeep.
Plans for the weekend
She chuckles, “Not decided yet. I love being spontaneous!”
