Veteran TV and Bollywood actor Alok Nath is facing serious allegations of raping and sexual harassment. In the ongoing MeToo movement Tara producer and writer Vinta Nanda came out and described the horror she faced with Alok Nath. And now Cine & TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) has taken a firm decision against him and has expelled the actor from the association.
After former Tara producer accused him of rape, TV actress Sandhya Mridul also narrated how the ‘Sanskari’ babuji of the television world allegedly tried to force himself on her during an outdoor shoot. And even TV actress Deepika Amin also shared her story which she faced with Alok Nath. After all this the association took the necessary steps and came with a firm decision.
CINTAA released a statement on Twitter revealing the same. The statement was released by the association stating, “In the view of the various allegations of sexual sexual harassment and misconduct against Mr. Alok Nath, after due diligence and consideration, the Exec. Committee of #cintaa has decided to expel him from the Association. @sushant_says @renukashahane @FIA_actors @sagaftra @RichaChadha.”
After CINTAA’s decision, Alok Nath told Pinkvilla, “Toh accha hua… I haven’t heard from them. I can’t speak about it. I don’t know yet.” When asked if he would be in a better position to speak about it once he receives an intimidation about it, he said that he will “think about it”.
