Maharashtra Achievers’ Awards 2019: Alia Bhatt, Rani Mukerji, Ekta Kapoor win big

Last night, at the Maharashtra Achievers’ Awards 2019, Alia Bhatt was one of the actors who won big. Her Raazi co-star Vicky Kaushal, Rajkummar Rao and Rani Mukerji also won titles for their amazing performances last year.

Some of the B-town celebs who graced the Maharashtra Achievers’ Awards ceremony held in Mumbai were Alia Bhatt, Rani Mukerji, Rajkumar Rao, Patralekhaa, Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Chakraborty, Malavika Mohanan, Madhu Chopra, Harshvardhan Rane and Vicky Kaushal.

Alia who turned 26 today received the Entertainer of the Year (Female) award, she had gained alot of praise for her performance in Raazi and later in Gully Boy. Actors Rani Mukerji and TV actor Ravi Dubey also sang the birthday song for Alia at the event.

Vicky Kaushal however bagged the Excellence in Acting (Male) award. Rani Mukerji received the Most Powerful Performer of the Year for her comeback film Hichki, while Rajkummar Rao became the best male entertainer of the year.

Filmmaker Ekta Kapoor was presented the ‘Creative Powerhouse award’ and Ravi Dubey won the Best TV actor of the Year. From the Music world, Bappi Lahiri the award for his Outstanding Contribution to Music and Madhu Chopra accepted the Global Icon of the Year award on behalf of her daughter Priyanka Chopra.
