Lyricist of Salman Khan’s Wanted and Dabangg, Jalees Sherwani, passes away

Veteran lyricist and screenwriter Jalees Sherwani, who is known for penning lyrics for Salman Khan’s super hit films like Wanted and Dabangg, passed away today. The lyricist was suffering from health issues from the past two weeks.  However, the latest reports suggest that he passed away due to a massive heart attack.

Today, Ashoke Pandit shared this sad news with people on Twitter. He wrote, “Sad to know about the demise of one of our veteran writers #JaleesSherwani ji. May his family gain the strength to bear with this huge loss. We will miss U. #RIP”

Apart from Dabangg and Wanter, Jalees Sherwani, lyricist and screenwriter, had also contributed in Salman Khan’s other films like Garv, Tere Naam and others. He was also the president of the Film Writers’ Association for quite some time.
