It’s known that model-turned-actress Lisa Haydon would be seen sharing the screen space with Bollywood’s khiladi Akshay Kumar in their upcoming film ‘The Shaukeens’. And now the actress reveals that in her initial years in Bollywood she used to watch the Akshay’s films to learn Hindi.
Sharing her excitement of working with Akshay, the ‘Queen’ actress said, “I still can’t believe that I am doing a film with Akshay. I am a fan but not a crazy one like a play in the movie. If he knew I was psycho, he would never work with me. There is so much respect for him. When I was learning Hindi, I used to watch his films because he speaks the language so well.”
While Akshay will do a cameo as himself in ‘The Shaukeens’, Lisa would be essaying the role of a crazy fan of the Bollywood star. Meanwhile, ‘The Shaukeens’ is a remake of the 1982 film ‘Shaukeen’ which was directed by Basu Chatterjee.
The new movie is directed by Abhishek Sharma, of ‘Tere Bin Laden’-fame, and is produced by Akshay himself. The new film features actors Anupam Kher, Piyush Mishra and Annu Kapoor, who are lusting after a much younger girl played by Lisa and the film is set to hit the theatres on November 7.
