It has been 16 years since filmmaker Karan Johar’s directorial debut ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ starring superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji hit the big screens, and looks like the film holds a special place in Karan’s life. Remembering the release day of the film, the filmmaker tweeted about it also crediting it for everything he has today!
“16 years ago…#kuchkuchhotahai.:..the film that gave me everything I have today…indelible memories,” Karan tweeted on Thursday. What’s more, superstar Shah Rukh too wasn’t left behind as he too posted on the micro blogging site, thanking the team of the film. SRK wrote, “KKHH. Thank u Karan Kajol Rani JatinLalit…& everyone who made the film happen. And of course Tom Uncle (Yash Johar).”
‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ was a hit and established a huge connect with audiences of all age groups. It set the trend of colourful friendship bands and the ‘COOL’ chain that SRK had sported.
