Mumbai: Karan Johar’s directorial venture “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” is all set to hit theatres Diwali next year with filmmaker’s another much-ambitious production “Shuddhi”. “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” will see Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan teaming up together for the first time. It will also feature Ranbir’s “Bombay Velvet” co-star Anushka Sharma. “My next directorial film #Aedilhaimushkil starring Ranbir, Anushka and Aishwariya will release Diwali 2016… @AeDilHaiMushkil @foxstarhindi,” Johar posted on Twitter.
The filmmaker, who last directed college drama “Student of the Year” in 2012, has also begun the recee for the upcoming movie. Aishwarya, who was on a break since her last release Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Guzaarish” (2010), is making a comeback in Sanjay Gupta’s “Jazbaa”.
“Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” dwells deeply on relationships, heartbreaks and how love completes and defines one. However, “Shuddhi” is directed by Karan Malhotra and stars “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” co-stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt.
Besides “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” and “Shuddhi”, Johar’s hands are full with “Brothers”, “Kapoor And Sons” and “Ram Lakhan” remake.
