Radhika Apte a stellar performer and a versatile actress, who has always chosen to speak up, talked about her own childhood fantasy in support of OMH (Oh My Hrithik). The actress featured on the initiatives’ Instagram account and shared the story.
In a video, Radhika talked about her oldest fantasy she can remember, saying “This is from when I was young around eight years old. At the time, our house help used to watch a lot of Zee Cinema and I used to watch it with her. The actresses (in the films) would be caught in rain or it would be very windy and their sari pallu would fly off and the hair would be flying. Then the hero would come they would look at each other and whatever happens next.”
She went on to say the movies had impacted her a lot, “I liked a guy in school and I used to fantasise that one day I would be caught in rain, my pallu would fly off and he’ll just come and we would be looking at each other and then he’ll kiss me.”
“But he never kissed me and I never wore a sari in school, so it never happened. But I used to go to bed early so that I can dream of him kissing me,” she added.
OMH is an initiative that urges women to talk about their fantasies and also highlights the medical, psychological and social aspects related to the act. In support of the initiative she said, “I feel we should be able to talk about our fantasies openly and there is nothing to be ashamed of.”
