Actress Deepika Padukone is one of the top actresses in Bollywood today. And after doing filmmaker Homi Adajania’s offbeat film ‘Finding Fanny’, which was much appreciated by the critics, looks like the pretty lady is now aiming for world cinema to try her hand at it!
Recently Deepika revealed at an event that she is now ready to work in films beyond Bollywood, though she is not aiming for Hollywood. Interestingly instead, the actress is keen to do a French or Iranian film, and she has even identified directors she would like to work with! “I think French cinema is as beautiful as Indian cinema and like I said before, I don’t think the medium matters as much as the story and the script. If I find something exciting, I would do it,” Deepika said at the 16th Mumbai Film Festival. Talking about her favourite film and filmmaker, she further revealed, “’Priceless’ is one of my most favourite French films. I have watched some Iranian films as well. I do like some directors and I have identified some directors I would like to work with.”
Meanwhile, Deepika is currently busy promoting her much-awaited film with superstar Shah Rukh Khan – ‘Happy New Year’’ which releases on October 24.
