News is that actor Irrfan Khan has decided to make an exit from Vashu Bhagnani’s film ‘Welcome To Karachi’ at the last moment (owing to some creative differences). It’s noted that the film was launched recently with much fanfare. And due to this sudden exit it now seems that Vashu’s son Jackky Bhagnani has come to his rescue!
Buzz is that Jackky, who was last seen in ‘Youngistaan’, is more than happy to work in his dad’s film. In fact, Jackky has now replaced the senior actor and would be seen playing the role of a sailor in the film.
It’s being said that Irrfan left the team of ‘Welcome To Karachi’ stranded in London as he refused to fly to UK for the shoot citing date issues. And this definitely miffed Vashu Bhagnani, who made no qualms in expressing his disappointment. In fact Vashu had even mentioned that it will be too difficult for him to find a new actor at the last moment. He was apparently also miffed about the losses he will be incurring if the team had to wait to complete the schedule in London. That’s when Jackky volunteered to act in the film.
Produced under the banner Puja Entertainment and directed by Ashish R. Mohan, ‘Welcome To Karachi’ is a satire about two Indians who get stranded in Karachi without any proper documents and their journey. The film also has actor Arshad Warsi.
