I think wonderful things have happened in the industry in the past few years. The corporate section has stepped in and with them they have brought in a sense of discipline, a sense of preparedness. Everything is ready right from the script to the schedule, from what you are going to be wearing to how you hair is supposed to be looking. Films are completed in a shorter time span. Technically we are ahead of what we used to be. Even a crane shot or a trolley shot used to be like a major task, as one needed one hour to set up everything. But today we are well equipped with everything and within a matter of time a movie is completed.
“Another plus for the industry today is the set of young actors and actresses, who are go-getters and know well what they are doing. They are ambitious, they are so confident and they are going ahead, making their strides. Ranbir, Ranveer, Hrithik …they are such awesome dancers and great performers. The films they have been part of, again have been so different – at the same time entertaining. It’s also the best phase for actresses in the industry. There is so much talent around. Vidya Balan is one of the best examples. Right from her first film ‘Parineeta’, Vidya has stunned everyone with her performance and choice of films. Rani Mukerji is another actress who has dared to do different cinema and has shone bright. Kareena Kapoor was such a delight in ‘Jab We Met’. It’s truly the best time for the industry.”
