Nawazuddin Siddiqui is shooting for Kushan Nandy’s’ Babumoshai Bandookbaaz’ in the outskirts of Lucknow. However there is no leading lady, although the script urgently needs one. Sighs Nawaz, “Chitrangada Singh has left our film. And right now we are shooting in Lucknow without a leading lady.”
How about Nawaz’s favourite leading lady Huma Qureshi?
He shrugs off the suggestion. “We’ve done whatever we could do together in ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur’ and ‘Badlapur’. Now it will look like overkill if we come together again. My director Kushan Nandy and I are completely puzzled about the situation.”
Nawaz has even made a jokey suggestion to his director to solve the heroine crisis. “Let’s get a boy to dress up as a woman and go ahead with the shooting. I really don’t care who my co-star is as long as the shooting doesn’t get hampered.”
