Katrina Kaif has taken the industry by storm as she delivers amazing performances one after the other. The actress gearing up for Bharat’s release finally opened about her break up with Jagga Jasoos co-actor Ranbir Kapoor in an interview with Mumbai Mirror.
Ranbir and Katrina dated for 6 long years before calling it quit. When Kat was asked how she managed to pick herself up and shine through after the heartbreaking separation. She said, “I had to break before I could proceed to rebuild myself. I had to unravel and feel everything that had happened…I had to take full responsibility for my part in the equation, what I could and should have done better and accept that the parts I was not responsible for were not my problem.”
She even revealed it was her mother’s words that got her through it, “One thought that helped me when I was at my lowest, something my mom told me was, ‘So many women and girls go through the same thing, you feel you are alone but you are not.’”
Talking about how she chooses to love and relationships now, after having been through a life changing experience she added falling in love can be beautiful but make sure that nobody else has the right to your identity. “I am not saying be guarded in love. No, love with all your heart. Being in a relationship is beautiful and I have a lot to give to a person. But I now know that nobody else gives you your identity,”
Katrina Kaif will reunite with Salman Khan on the big screen (Bharat) along with director Ali Abbas Zafar. The film also stars Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Tabu and Sunil Grover in lead roles.
