Emraan Hashmi isn’t dazzled by his success and obviously retains his sense of humour.
Emraan Hashmi is rather excited about his film ‘Raaz 3’ doing well at the box office. “Yes, we have made almost Rs 56 crore. I am waiting for a cheque which I have not yet got and I hope to get soon. Whatever money I get I shall surely share it with my female co-stars. I am by no means going to be mean to them,” Emraan says on a lighter note.
Refreshing his memories of shooting for the film, he says, “When we made the film, we made sure that it got added mileage. Horror has never flopped in numbers; today, ‘Raaz 3’ has proved that. The film has been made at one-tenth the cost of other films. We hope that our film touches the figure of Rs 100 crore soon. ‘Raaz’ is special to me because ‘Raaz’ one got me in the game, the second ‘Raaz’ kept me in the game, and with the third ‘Raaz’ I am on top of the game.”
Call him Hitman Hashmi and he blushes and quips, “Oh, yes! I am fed up of the Serial Kisser tag. Hitman Hashmi sounds better than Serial Kisser Hashmi. I have had five consecutive hits and with each film my conviction has grown. All I want is to keep the audience entertained.”
Compare Hashmi to Salman Khan and he retorts instantly, “I don’t want to be a mini anyone. I want to be the one and only Emraan Hashmi. I hope people see me as an individual. Salman is way ahead of me and has been here for the last 20 years and has significant experience. I have to work that much to reach there. But,” he adds with a smile, “I am lucky that I get to kiss and Salman doesn’t.”
