Kalki Koechlin has always chosen a different path to walk. Whether it was her choice of films, the decision of separating from husband Anurag Kashyap and still be on friendly terms with him, or her outspoken nature, she has always chosen a road which is less walked or followed.
Knowing for her unconventional choice in her work, the actress will soon be seen in Eros Now Original Web series Smoke which according to her will show Goa in a completely different way.
“I have never seen Goa depicted like this. We always tend to think Goa as a place of Holiday and fun but in this web series you will see a different side of Goa which is grittier and real. Of course there is the holiday, party and club side of Goa but then there is also the dark side that is Mafia. The mafia that controls drugs that are circulated, as well as the Police and narcotics team.” Said Kalki
On being asked her thoughts on drugs and smoke, the actress said, “Well I quit smoking seven eight years ago. So I am very happy about that. I don’t believe in the term that people should not smoke. People should know the health consequences of what smoking does to you and make their choice of their own. Of course drugs are harmful, I don’t endorse drugs, especially when you look at the collateral damage the drug dealing and the drug addiction does to an individual, it’s really dangerous.”
The actress will be next seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy which stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt.
