Sanaya Irani on not wanting to spend money on shopping but travelling.
Sanaya Irani is all set to enthral the audiences of Sony with ‘Chhanchhan’. The actor pleads us not to believe stories written by some media personnel that say she is a finicky actor and throws tantrums, which is why she is not being approached by the Star network. “Let me confirm one thing clearly that whenever such stories make rounds in the television world, our previous producers and directors are always called upon. They are the ones who grant a certification to us about not throwing tantrums,” she adds.
Having enjoyed her break from work she says, “I did not get to sleep during the long shooting schedules. No sooner did ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ got shut down, I would sit at home and hog delicious dishes. Also enjoyed long hours of sleep.I also visited my family who are residing in America. As soon as the show shut down I sat at home and hog my favourite dishes and then go off to sleep. I also flew to America as I have my family out there.”
Sanaya is not a shopping freak. “I like travelling and that is what I did during my break. But, I am a big ‘kanjoos’ and don’t like to spend money unnecessarily. While alone, I like reading books and watching English shows.”
On the changes in her after working on ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ she says, “I have learnt to be calm and patient. I have realized that there is no way I can dictate terms even if I am speaking the right thing. In today’s world it is better that we do our work and get going. I have stopped screaming now. It’s never too late to learn these lessons.”
On missing Barun Sobti, her co-actor in ‘IPKKND’ she says, “I do miss him. We were good friends and our scenes worked as we shared a comfort zone. But that’s not to say I have hassles working with newcomer Farhan Khan either. However, we have yet not shot any scenes together.”
On playing a dog trainer in the show she says, “I love dogs and have three at home. What I do not like about my dogs at home is that my mom spoils them. I always tell her to give them dog food. But she feeds them chicken, fish, kheema and some vegetables with rice that they love.” She says
she is also fond of cats, birds and horses too.
About her role in the serial she adds, “‘Chhanchhan’ is a care-free girl who looks forward to helping anyone and everyone. A dog trainer is just a refreshing idea, which has not been used before. I had fun performing my character. I expect you’ll would enjoy my performances too.”
