Grammy-winning singer Chris Brown has been accused of hitting a woman during an argument in a Los Angeles home recently.
The 32-year-old singer is alleged to have struck the woman on Friday, June 18.
According to a report in BBC, officers were called to an area in the San Fernando Valley, southern California, at 7.30 am local time, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department said.
A crime report for battery has been completed and LA city's attorney's office will now consider whether to bring any charges.
The singer wasn't present when present when police arrived at the scene, the spokesman added.
However, Chris Brown's representatives have not yet responded to a request for comment.
Chris Brown has faced a slew of legal trouble stretching back to 2009, when he was arrested for physically assaulting singer Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time. He pleaded guilty to felony assault and completed probation in 2015.
Reportedly, in 2018, he was accused of presiding over a drug-fueled orgy at his Los Angeles mansion where a woman was sexually assaulted by two of his associates.
In 2019, he was released after being detained in Paris on aggravated rape and drug offenses.
