It’s the time of the year when we smear colours on each other, party, gorge on delicacies and groove on Bollywood songs. It’s Holi. As we always say, no celebration is complete with Bollywood tadka and when it comes to Holi we have some amazing songs from ‘Rang Barse’ from ‘Silsila’ to the latest ‘Gali Gali’ song from the movie ‘Pataakha’.

Aaj Na Chhodenge – Kati Patang (1970)


The retro song ‘Aaj Na Chhodenge’ is composed by RD Burman and sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar. The song is picturized on Asha Parekh and Rajesh Khanna and showcases magic through amazing dance moves.

Holi Ke Din – Sholay (1975)


This is another Holi song that Bollywood has gifted us. The song shows Dharmendra and Hema Malini dance and enjoy the festival, while Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan steal glances. Sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar, the song is from the iconic movie ‘Sholay’.

Rang Barse, Silsila (1981)


‘Rang Barse’ is a must on your playlist when it comes to Holi and has over the years become a Holi anthem. The song beautifully portrays the beautiful chemistry between Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha. Written by Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan, the song is one of the most-played during the festival of colours.

Ang se Ang Lagana – Darr (1993)


The song ‘Ang se Ang Lahaga’ showcases chemistry between the Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol. It is one of the timeless Holi songs and is a must on your Holi playlist.

Holi Khele Raghuveera – Baghban (2003)


The Holi song ‘Holi Khele Raghuveera’ from the movie ‘Baghban’ is sung by Alka Yagnik, Sukhwinder Singh, Udit Narayan, and Amitabh Bachchan. The song features Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini who united on-screen after two decades.

Do Me a Favor Let’s Play Holi – Waqt – The Race Against Time (2005)


The song ‘Do Me a Favor Let’s Play Holi’ featuring Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra will surely add zing to your celebration. The song is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Anu Malik.

Balam Pichakari, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013)


Sung by Shalmali Kholgade and Vishal Dadlani, ‘Balam Pichkari’ from the Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor starrer has over the years become an integral part of the celebration. The song automatically makes you join the crowd and dance.

Badri ki Dulhaniya – Badrinath ki Dulhaniya (2017)


The title track from ‘Badrinath ki Dulhaniya’ has a cool vibe and is perfect for a Holi party. The song shows Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan splashing colours and shaking their legs. The song is composed by Tanishq Bagchi and sung by Dev Negi, Neha Kakkar, Monali Thakur, and Ikka.

Go Pagal – Jolly LLB 2 (2017)


The Holi song from Akshay Kumar and Huma Qureshi starrer is sung by Raftaar and Nindy Kaur. The song beautifully captures Akshay and Huma’s craziness. From smearing colours to enjoying bhaang, the song celebrates every shade of the festival.

Gali Gali – Pataakha (2018)


The high-energy song ‘Gali Gali’ will definitely make you shake your leg. The song is written by Gulzar and sung by Sukhwinder Singh. The rural touch to the festival is the highlight of the song.
