Filming in real locations can be one hell of a task. With crowds flocking to see their favourite actors or simply to be a part of the frame, filmmakers can have a tough time managing the scene. However, it is very rare that a team member would get hurt in the process. Recently, a scene went wrong in a popular Amritsar market for Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’s director Mudassar Aziz who succumbed to a mob that followed the lead actress Sonakshi Sinha.
The film’s scene required the actress to walk through a street lined with shops selling wedding outfits and accessories. The crew members had done the deed of taking all the necessary permissions and precautions, including security personnel. However, word spread like wildfire that the Dabangg actress would soon be shooting at the said location. As Sonakshi was in position of her shot, a huge crowd took over the scene and Mudassar felt it would be impossible to shoot. So he got his leading lady, escorted by the security bouncers, to return to her car.
As Sinha approached her wagon, locals flocked her path with mobile cameras to take pictures of her. Mudassar who was accompanying her was apparently in the way and fans did not welcome his hindrance. The director was injured due to a hit on his back which turned out to be quote severe.
Confirming the same, Mudassar says, “I still joke with Sonakshi that I got hurt because of her and perhaps I’m the only director to get hit because a fan couldn’t click his favourite actress’ picture.”
