Superstar Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Happy New Year’ is no doubt the much-awaited movie of the year. And according to reports the film, which was earlier set to release on Diwali which is on Thursday, would now hit the theatres on Friday that’s October 24!
Buzz is that the makers were of the opinion that releasing the film on October 23 could be a problem as people would be busy celebrating Diwali and the Laxmi Pooja in the evening. Thus to ensure that the pooja does not clash with the evening shows, which is the peak time for collections at the box office, the filmmakers have now decided to delay the release of the film by a day. It’s noted that a similar situation had aroused last year by the makers of ‘Krrish 3’.
Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, ‘Happy New Year’ stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah among others.
