Ajay Devgn recently featured his age old iconic leg split for ‘De Pyar De’ poster but very few may know it was originally first seen in 1991’s ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ when he did the leg split between two bikes. He then recreated the scene for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal’ franchise.
Over the years, the actor has created numerous iconic dialogues and scenes which everyone still remembers. But that’s not all, the actor has had some heroic moments off screen that also make him the true Singham of Bollywood.
On the Action Hero’s birthday let’s look at his best onscreen and off screen moments.
A Cop or a Don, he can do it all
We have seen Ajay in more than 100 movies and he has created some of the most amazing characters on screen, but there are few of them who have slipped into our day to day lives, here are some of his ever green dialogues.
Dua Main Yaad Rakhna from 2011 release ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbai’,
‘Aali Re Aali…aata Tumchi Baari aali’ from the 2014 release ‘Singham Returns’.
And ‘Aata Majhi Satakli’ from ‘Singham’ which was later turned into a song too.
Ajay the Prankster
Ajay is as good at fighting off the villains as he is great at pranking his costars and family members. He usually also pranks the hosts of the chat show that he appears on. One such amazing prank he pulled off while off sets was on Twitter. Back in 2018 the actor almost pranked the entire country when he shared Kajol’s number on the social media platform.
Take a look:
Winning an Audi
Ajay Devgn has not just won hearts with his witty dialogue and responses he has also won an Audi. During the season 6 of Koffee with Karan the actor actually won the car from Karan for his most witty responses.
Ajay was asked which in the one superstition he is guilty of believing, he said, “I had this superstition that all your films with ‘K’ work, till we did Kaal.” The 2005 release had bombed miserably on the box office.
Blockbusters from action to comedy
The National Award winning actor debuted in Phool Aur Kaante (1991) which became the biggest hit at the time. In his long career the actor has presented hits not just in action or serious roles, but also in romance like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Hai Sanam’ and comedy like ‘Golmaal’ series. Some of his hit actions films have been Singham, Omkara, Jigar and more.
Even after seeing his fair share of flops the actor never stops reinventing himself.
Ajay took a stand for his country
Back in 2016 Ajay Devgn was one of the first A listed celebrities to take a stand for his country and said no to working with Pakistani artists. He had said, “Country comes before money. What will you do with money if your country sinks?”
