Social media influencer and choreographer Dhanashree Verma and cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal are allegedly divorced now. Recently, reports surfaced claiming that the cricketer might have to pay a hefty alimony of Rs 60 crore to Verma. However, Dhanashree's family has denied these reports, stating that they are 'deeply outraged' by the baseless claims.
In an official statement, Dhanashree's family said, "We are deeply outraged by the baseless claims being circulated about the alimony figure. Let me be absolutely clear—no such amount has ever been asked, demanded, or even offered. There is no truth to these rumors whatsoever. It is deeply irresponsible to publish such unverified information, dragging not just the parties but also their families into unnecessary speculation."
"Reckless reporting like this only causes harm, and we urge the media to exercise restraint and fact-check before spreading misinformation and also be respectful towards everyone’s privacy," the statement read.
According to ABP News, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra ended their marriage officially on February 20 at Bandra Family Court. The duo reportedly arrived at 11 AM to complete the necessary legal formalities and it ended at 4:30 pm with the judge declaring that they were no longer legally bound as husband and wife.
Rumours surrounding Yuzvendra and Dhanashree's relationship sparked in late 2024 when fans noticed they had unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Dhanashree and Yuzvendra tied the knot in December 2020.
Earlier, YouTuber RJ Mahvash and Yuzvendra sparked dating rumours after the duo's photo went viral. Reacting to the same, RJ Mahvash said, "Some articles and speculations have been circulating around the internet. It's literally funny to see how baseless these rumours are. If you get seen with a person of the opposite gender, does that mean you are dating them? I'm sorry, what year is this? And how many people are you all dating then?"
“I have been patient for 2-3 days now, but I won't let any PR teams drag my name into this to cover up other people's images. Let people live in peace with their friends and family during tough times,” RJ Mahvash added.
