Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are in an extremely happy space as they have recently embarked on the beautiful journey of marriage. With a two-day wedding and two receptions, the whole DeepVeer Shaadi was indeed a grand celebration. With just one wedding reception left to be held on December 1, Deepika and Ranveer will be back to their professional commitments. However, what interests us is that even after more than two weeks of marriage Deepika hasn’t changed her social media handle from Deepika Padukone to Deepika Bhavnani. But to be true, we are not even a bit surprised.
We all know from the time when Deepika featured in the Vouge video ‘My Choice’ that the actress is a staunch feminist. Adding husband’s name or surname after marriage is not a choice given to a women rather it’s a compulsion, which every newly-married women is expected to follow and we are glad that Deepika didn’t followed the age-old compulsion.
