Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in a new avatar in her upcoming action packed drama Akira and the trailer of the same was recently released. Taking a leaf of inspiration from the same, the youth of N M College, Mumbai have taken a step further for the betterment of their fellow students. The college has decided to run a self-defense workshop in their campus.
This campaign for the N M College was kick-started by Sonakshi herself with the college students and faculty. Sonakshi interacted with the students and had a chat on the need self-defence training for the students. She exchanged few tips and basic training programs which should be included in the campus workshops. She too has trained hard at martial arts for the film and a glimpse of the same is visible in the trailer. On kick-starting the campaign for N M College, Sonakshi Sinha said, “It is so cool that NM College has decided to introduce self-defence workshops. I’m so happy and excited. It’s one small step for us and a big step for everybody. I am thrilled that my film Akira has been able to make a difference and urged them in this direction.”
A Professor of N M College said, “We were really happy to meet Sonakshi Sinha and interact with her on her new film Akira. The fact that she is portrayed as a strong woman who stands up for herself in her film has served as an inspiration for many of our students. We are very happy to announce that we have decided to start self-defense workshops in our campus very soon, and we are excited that we were able to get Sonakshi to kick start this campaign.”
