In the current crop of actors, undoubtedly, Alia Bhatt has carved a niche for herself. Moreover, she has also shown as that she is an icon with films riding on her shoulders solely. However, it is equally true that the actress hails from a filmy family and is the daughter of one of the most celebrated filmmakers, Mahesh Bhatt. This has always fueled up debates in B-town in the past where many believe that nepotistic nature of Bollywood is probably the reason why these actors are born with claim to fame rather than building it.
Speaking of the debate to recent reports, Alia Bhatt maintained that she doesn’t want to defend nepotism in Bollywood in any way because it indeed exists. She was also quick to add the reason behind it becoming an emotional debate wherein she believes that generally the ones who don’t get a chance tend to feel that the industry is biased. The Bhatt girl also maintained that if she was in their place, she would have felt the exact same way.
Furthermore, Alia Bhatt also explained that this is the only industry where there is no fixed funda. Citing the examples of how one often gets a job after studying for it, Alia maintained that Bollywood as an industry doesn’t work in that conventional manner. But here it is all about being in the right place at the right time and meeting the right people. She also added that the X factor in a person is very important. She asserted on the fact that there are no hard and fast rules and often despite good looks, actors don’t work whereas some others who are average looking become super successes because of their talent.
And when it comes to her case, Alia Bhatt believes that it was pure luck and not the fact that she was a filmmaker’s daughter that helped her earn the fame that she enjoys today. Interestingly, let us tell you that Alia Bhatt has not acted in any films directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt after her debut in Student Of The Year.
