Watch Hungama 2 Trailer: Shilpa Shetty makes a comeback in Priyadarshani's rib-tickling comedy

Actor Akshay Kumar on Thursday dropped the trailer of filmmaker Priyadarshani's comedy film 'Hungama 2', which marks Shilpa Shetty's acting comeback after a 13-year-long break.

Sharing the trailer of the comedy flick, Kumar wished the team good luck and wrote: "Happy to launch the trailer of my dear friends, @priyadarshandir Sir, @SirPareshRawal and @rtnjn's next #Hungama2, a crazy laugh riot. Good luck to the team!"

Starring Paresh Rawal, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Meezaan Jafri and Pranitha Subhash, the film promises a through family entertainer with something for everyone. The trailer also features peppy tracks with a dash of retro vibes.

The film is a sequel to 2003 comedy hit 'Hungama', which also featured Rawal, along with Shoma Anand, Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, and Rimi Sen in lead roles.

A Venus Records and Tapes LLP project, Hungama 2 is produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain, Chetan Jain, and Armaan Ventures. The film is directed by Priyadarshan and also stars Ashutosh Rana, Manoj Joshi, Rajpal Yadav, Johnny Lever and Tiku Talsania.

'Hungama 2' is all set to release directly on streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar as theatres in most of the states are shut in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. It was was slated to hit the theatres on August 14 this year.

The film will start streaming on the OTT platform on July 23.

Producer Ratan Jain, in a statement earlier this month said, "'Hungama 2' is a lighthearted film meant to be enjoyed across all age groups, and we feel it will entertain the audiences and bring some cheer in these trying times. We will release the film on a digital platform this year and movie lovers can enjoy the laugh riot at the comfort of their homes."

"We have made 'Hungama 2' with utmost love and we are confident that our film will bring a smile to people's faces," he added.
