Paresh Rawal reveals he couldn’t launch his son Aditya because he didn’t have that kind of money

Veteran actor Paresh Rawal, known for his intense performances as well as flawless comedic timing, will next be seen in the Farhan Akhtar-starrer “Toofaan” as well as Priyadarshan’s upcoming film "Hungama 2".

The actor's son Aditya Rawal, who made his acting debut with the ZEE5 original film "Bamfaad" is all set to feature in Hansal Mehta's commercial thriller alongside debutant Zahaan Kapoor.

The film will be produced by Anubhav Sinha who has given some path breaking films like "Article 15", "Mulk" and "Thappad".

Meanwhile, Mehta has recently won accolades for the web series "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story" featuring Pratik Gandhi.

The film is a thriller and will give both the boys a scope to reveal their acting chops and perform intense roles.

When Paresh was asked about his son venturing into showbiz, the actor told Indian Express that he didn’t launch his son because he didn’t have that kind of money.

However, he asserted that he's proud of the fact that Aditya's work is fetching him work without any recommendations.

Besides that, Aditya is all set to step into the shoes of Mumbai gangster Chhota Rajan for his upcoming series.

According to a report by News18, junior Rawal has been roped in for Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s production venture “Dongri To Dubai”, a real-life crime thriller.

The series will see Avinash Tiwari essay Dawood Ibrahim.

Rajan was a protégé of Ibrahim before they turned into each other's archnemesis.

The series is based on S Hussain Zaidi’s book of the same name.

The report further states that "Dongri To Dubai" revolves arround Dawood's journey and also touches upon his relationship with Rajan.

Rawal was chosen since the makers wanted a young and fresh face.

Meanwhile, Paresh's upcoming film "Hungama 2" is a sequel to Priyadarshan's 2003 hit comedy of the same name, and is scheduled to be released on Disney+ Hotstar on July 23.

The film also stars Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Meezaan Jaffrey and Pranitha Subhash.

He will also essay the role of Farhan Akhtar's coach Nana Prabhu in the upcoming sports drama "Toofaan".

It is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video on July 16.
