Neetu Kapoor Birthday Special: Memorable moments of the actress with Rishi Kapoor

Veteran actress Neetu Kapoor started her acting career at the age of eight. Since then, she has had a tremendous journey in films.

From a child artist as Baby Sonia to her comeback in the late 2010, Neetu Kapoor never lost touch with her natural onscreen persona and her charm.

Neetu Kapoor is set to make a comeback to movies with 'Jug Jugg Jeeyo'. She will star alongside Anil Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani. The actress had joined the cast last year for filming.

As the veteran actress turns a year older on Thursday (July 8), here are some of her best moments with Rishi Kapoor.

It may be mentioned that Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were one of the most loved on-screen and off-screen couples whose love saga was nothing less than a movie.

Dating each other since 1975, the couple finally tied the knot in 1980 and soon were blessed daughter, Riddhima and son, Ranbir.

Neetu Kapoor had started dating Chintu (Rishi Kapoor) when she was just 14 years old. It was not love-at-first-site for the pair as Chintu loved playing pranks on Neetu.

He would smear her face with kajal right after she completed her make-up. But Neetu fell in love with him.

Neetu Kapoor's mom was not too happy about their relationship as Neetu was just making her way up the ladder.

She didn't want her daughter's relationship to be the talk of the town and her mother used to send Neetu's cousin as a chaperone to her and Rishi's dates.

When Rishi proposed to Neetu, her mother was overjoyed but Neetu felt guilty leaving her mother all alone. But Rishi Kapoor invited her mom to stay with them after marriage.

The family decided to announce their engagement at a wedding in Rishi Kapoor's family in Delhi.

The sudden announcement gave Neetu jitters and her nerves had to be calmed down with a glass of champagne given to her by Rishi, himself. They got married soon after.

Together, they lived a very happy life and stuck by each other during media controversies and cancer. Rishi Kapoor may not be present anymore but their love for each other forever will be.
