Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput's sea-facing home in Bandra is up for rent at Rs 4 lakh per month

It's been a year since he passed away but Sushant Singh Rajput is alive in the hearts of numerous fans. The 34-year-old Bollywood actor's untimely demise on June 14 last year had left his fans, friends and family in a state of shock.

On June 14, 2020, at the height of pandemic induced lockdown, Sushant, 34, was allegedly discovered hanging from a ceiling fan at his rented home in Mont Blanc Apartments, triggering one of the biggest controversies in Bollywood in recent years.

Now, the same house has been put up for rent at a rate of Rs 4 lakh per month.

It is a two-storey sea-facing apartment where Rajput lived with girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty.

According to reports, while many are willing to grab the space, some are put off by its “history”.

Over a period of one-year, multiple probe agencies like Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED), and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), jumped into the cauldron that reeked of a riveting Bollywood potboiler -- intrigues, oodles of love, girlfriends, 'dhokha' (deceit), drugs, hints of lesbianism, alleged big money scam, nefarious links, et al.

Sushant, who began his acting career in 2008 with the TV show 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil', became a household name when he grabbed the lead role in Zee TV's 'Pavitra Rishta' opposite Ankita Lokhande.

Soon after he reached the peak of his career, he left the television industry to test his luck in the Hindi film industry.

In 2013, he made his Bollywood debut with 'Kai Po Che' and since then he never looked back. The actor has been a part of several hit films including 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!', 'M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story', 'Kedarnath' and 'PK'.

He played the lead role in the blockbuster film 'Chhichhore', co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, which bagged major accolades including a National Award for the best Hindi movie.

His last movie, 'Dil Bechara', was released digitally a month after his death.
