Actor-model Milind Soman's wife Ankita Konwar recently conducted an Ask Me Anything session on Instagram and answered different kinds of questions posted by fans.
Ankita (29), married to actor Milind (55), has often addressed the age gap between them and the topic once again popped up during the interactive session with her Instafam.
A user asked, "How did you tackle/ manage this Indian stereotype of 'Don't marry an older man'?" Ankita responded, "Anything that's not common in a society, people usually like to talk about it. And it's not just limited to India. We as a species, have a tendency to get weird about the unknown, the unexplored AKA fear."
Revealing that she has always done what makes her happy, without thinking about the societal norms, she continued, "The survival skill. And sometimes we are not conscious enough to distinguish between the utility and the waste of that skill. I have always done what makes me happy."
Milind and Ankita had defied the age norms when they got married as the couple has a huge age difference.
Not the one to shy away, Ankita also chose to reply to a user asking her about having kids. "It has been years of your marriage, what do you think about family planning?" the user asked. To this, Ankita’s epic response was, "We are a planned family."
Ankita was also asked a bunch of other questions. A fan asked, "Any relationship advice to keep yourself and your partner happy?? You n Milind sir are couple goals."
Responding to this, Ankita wrote, "Every relationship is different. But there are a few certain things that remain the same. Respect for each other, trusting your partner, open communication and loads and loads of love. Love really conquers all."
Milind and Ankita had tied the knot in Alibaug on April 22, 2018. The private ceremony was attended by the couple's close family and friends. They once again exchanged wedding vows in Spain in a barefoot wedding in July 2018.
In terms of work, Milind was last seen in the web-series Paurashpur. He also featured in the second season of Amazon Prime's web-series Four More Shots Please!
He became a household name after featuring in Alisha Chinai's 1995 music video Made In India. Milind has also featured in films like Chef, Bajirao Mastani and 16th December among others.
