Actress Karisma Kapoor, who turned a year older on Friday, received a special treat from her sister Kareena Kapoor and brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan.
Bebo and the Nawab laid out a scrumptious affair for Lolo which also included a hearty bowl of khichda by Amrita Arora and her husband Shakeel Ladak.
Karisma shared the pictures from her birthday eve on Instagram. She captioned the post on her feed as, “Making my years count, instead of counting the years.”
Kareena also shared an adorable reel on her Instagram page and wrote, “Happy Birthday to the bravest, strongest, and the most precious woman I know... my sister, my best friend, my second mother and the centre of our family... Chinese food tastes even better when we eat it together, I love you like no one else... I also do wonder sometimes who the older sister is but that is the best part of having one... My lolo.”
Karisma made her Bollywood debut in the 1991 release "Prem Qaidi". She shot to stardom in the nineties with a series of hits with Govinda and director David Dhawan including "Raja Babu", "Coolie No. 1", "Hero No. 1", "Saajan Chale Sasural" and "Haseena Maan Jayegi".
Her other notable films include "Andaz Apna Apna", "Raja Hindustani", "Biwi No. 1" and "Zubeidaa".
She was given a National Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role in the 1997 release, "Dil To Pagal Hai".
Karisma was recently seen in the OTT show "Mentalhood".
Karisma married industrialist Sunjay Kapur, the CEO of Sixt India in September, 2003. Together the couple has two children.
While daughter Samaira was born in 2005, their son Kiaan was born in 2010. However, the couple filed for divorce in 2014.
