Actress Priyamani, who plays Srikant Tiwari's (Manoj Bajpayee) wife Suchi in Amazon Prime Video's 'The Family Man', recalled the time she worked with Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a special song for 'Chennai Express'.
Priyamani featured in the song ‘1234’ in the Rohit Shetty directorial starring Deepika Padukone. In an interview with Zoom, she spoke about how SRK gave her Rs 300 during the shoot.
The actress said that despite being a superstar Khan doesn’t let success get to his head. Calling him a sweet and lovable human, she said that they once played a game of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ on his iPad, during which he gave her Rs 300. “I still have with me in my wallet,” she said.
Earlier, Priyamani opened up about being body-shamed and experiencing colorism.
The 'Raavan' actress said that she has been body shamed 'a lot of times', but when her weight went up to 65 kilos and she looked bigger than she does right now, people called her 'fat'.
"So, a lot of people have said, 'oh, you look fat, you look big.' Right now, people are saying, 'Why you looking thin, we like you when you were fat.' I'm like, 'hello, make up your mind. You like me when I'm fat or you like me when I'm thin?' Being on the bigger side or being on the smaller side, it is each person to himself," she told Bollywood Bubble.
She continued: "Why do you want to body shame people saying, 'oh you're fat, you looking like a pig or...' Why do you want to do that?"
Directed by Raj and DK, The Family Man 2 returned for a second season on Amazon Prime Video. A third season has also been teased.
The series also stars Samantha Akkineni, Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Sunny Hinduja, Shahab Ali, Ashlesha Thakur and Vedant Sinha in pivotal roles.
