Anushka Sharma's sister-in-law Bhawna Kohli issues clarification after comment on baby Vamika's looks

Actress Anushka Sharma's sister-in-law Bhawna Kohli, who was recently asked about baby Vamika's looks, has issued a clarification on her comment.

Actor-producer Anushka Sharma and her cricketer-husband Virat Kohli welcomed their first child, a baby girl in January this year. The couple named her Vamika.

While Anushka and Virat have maintained a strict no picture policy for their baby girl, fans have been curious to know what the little one looks like.

Recently, Virat’s sister Bhawna conducted a Q&A session on Instagram, one fan asked her if she’s met Vamika, and who does she look more like - her brother or sister-in-law Anushka.

Bhavna dodged the question by simply replying, "Yes we have. She is an angel."

After her answer made headlines, Bhawna took to her Instagram handle and wrote: "Guys Virat and Anushka have already requested media to refrain from Vamika's pics. Please do not encourage or entertain any news that suggest that I have revealed how she looks. I totally respect their decision and would not do so myself."

Anushka and Virat announced the arrival of their first child on January 11.

After the birth of their baby, Sharma and Kohli had issued a note urging the paparazzi fraternity to respect their daughter’s privacy.

"As parents, we have a simple request to make to you. We want to protect the privacy of our child and we need your help and support

"While, we will always ensure that you get all the content you need featuring us, we would request you to kindly not take or carry any content that has our child. We know that you will understand where we are coming from and we thank you for the same," the couple had said in the statement.

Meanwhile, Anushka, Virat and their daughter Vamika are currently in the UK for the world test championship.

Kohli is currently leading the India side to the World Test Championship (WTC) final against the Kane Williamson-led New Zealand at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton from June 18.
