Veteran actor Anupam Kher on Wednesday wished Naseeruddin Shah a quick recovery from pneumonia.
The 70-year-old actor was admitted to Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital a few days back. He has reportedly been diagnosed with pneumonia and a patch in his lungs.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Kher said that he is looking forward to working with Shah. He tweeted in Hindi, "Naseeruddin Shah sahib!! Pneumonia is seeking importance so it has decided to stick with you for a couple of days. Give it a quick shake off and get well!! Looking forward to working with you since a long time. Take care of yourself! Prayers for your good health."
It may be recalled that last year, in one of his interviews, Shah had called Kher a clown.
Talking about Kher's pro-government stance on social media, Shah had said, "Someone like Anupam Kher has been very vocal. I don't think he needs to be taken seriously. He's a clown. Any number of his contemporaries from NFD and FTII can attest to his sycophantic nature. It's in his blood, he can't help it."
Meanwhile, a report in Bombay Times stated that Shah is 'responding well' to treatment.
"He has been in the hospital for two days. He's under medical supervision. He was brought in for Pneumonia. There was a patch found in his lungs and it became necessary for him to be hospitalised immediately," the actor's manger told Bombay Times.
On the work front, Naseeruddin Shah will next be seen in the upcoming film "Maarrich".
Directed by debutant Dhruv Lather, "Maarrich" also features Tusshar Kapoor, Anita Hassanandani, Rahul Dev and South actress Seerat Kapoor.
Shah will also feature alongside Rasika Dugal in the upcoming film "The Miniaturist Of Junagadh".
