Waking to the news of Oscar-winning actor-filmmaker Richard Attenborough’s death on Monday, many Bollywood celebs including Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher and Shobhaa De took to Twitter to pay their tributes to late filmmaker. Attenborough, 90, died in London on Sunday night following prolonged illness. He is best remembered for his 1982 film, ‘Gandhi’ which is a biopic on Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. The memorable film won him two Oscars.
The film also featured Indian actors including Rohini Hattangadi, Om Puri, Alyque Padamsee, Alok Nath and Roshan Seth. Here’s what some celebrities tweeted on Monday:
