This weekend saw the release of three films—AMIT SAHNI KI LIST, PIZZA and HATE STORY 2. After passing the test of the first weekend at the Box Office, result is that Director Vikram Bhatt’s HATE STORY 2 has come out with flying colours. News is that the revenge-thriller starring Surveen Chawla, Jai Bhanushali and Sushant Singh has netted Rs.15.85 crore since Friday! What’s more, on the first weekend itself the film has recovered its cost leaving aside the satellite rights and music. Confirming the news, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted on Monday “#HateStory2 Fri 5.46 cr, Sat 4.74 cr, Sun 5.65 cr. Total:  15.85 cr nett. India biz. EXCELLENT!”

However the movie faces tough competition from Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s HUMPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIYA, as it earned Rs 13. 88 crore in its second week, bringing the grand total to Rs 67.19 crore. Adarsh’s tweet read, “#HSKD has a ROCKING Weekend 2: Fri 3.22 cr, Sat 4.56 cr, Sun 6.10 cr. Grand total: 67.19 cr nett. SMASH HIT!”

The other releases of the week—PIZZA, starring Akshay Oberoi, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Dipannita Sharma and Arunoday Singh, and AMIT SAHNI KI LIST, featuring Vir Das, Vega Tamotia, Anindita Nayar and Kavi Shastri– have minted less than Rs 2 crore each. “#AmitSahniKiList Fri 68.6 lacs, Sat 90.7 lacs. Total: 1.59 cr nett. India biz,” the trade analyst had tweeted. He further wrote, “#Pizza3D Fri 75.03 lacs, Sat 1.01 cr. Total: 1.76 cr nett. India biz.”
