Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra became a hot jodi in Bollywood after their chemistry rocked in Andaaz in 2003. The film was a superhit at the box office because of their on screen chemistry and the audience loved it the most.
The actors signed three more films together. Reportedly, their hot chemistry sparked rumours of an alleged affair. However, the duo never accepted their relationship in public but the buzz further strengthened with Twinkle’s intervention.

When Akshay meet Priyanka
In 2004, during the shooting of Aitraaz, Akshay allegedly got close to Priyanka. Their sizzling chemistry on-screen was liked by the audience but the two apparently couldn’t stop themselves from staying away from each other off the camera. The news buzz in industry was that Akshay allegedly found a new lady after marriage also. But they never accepted their ‘relationship’ publicly.
Akshay-Twinkle almost called it quits
When the gossip mills about Priyanka and Akshay got stronger, Twinkle was not ready to take things lying down. According to leading daily reports, Akshay and Twinkle had a major showdown back in Goa in 2004 and it’s believed that the reason was Priyanka Chopra. But, the couple rubbished the reports.
Akshay promised to never work with Priyanka again
After the speculations, cracks began to emerge in Akshay’s marriage. Reportedly, Twinkle took a vow from Akshay to not work with Priyanka again. Listening to his wife, Akshay immediately stopped working with PeeCee.
And, it has now been a decade…
Akshay and Priyanka were last seen together in the 2005 film Waqt: Race Against Time, which also featured Amitabh Bachchan. And it been over a decade, that Akshay and Priyanka have done a film together.
Now, Priyanka says ‘not interested’
In 2014, when Priyanka was told Akshay wished to work with her again, she was surprised and said, “First of all, I don’t think he said that. I am just saying that I am not somebody who sits and wonders who my co-actors will be for a film. I always pick my films based on the script. If something interesting comes by, it does not EVER matter to be who my co-actors are.”
