Big B’s small screen jitters

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to make his comeback on the small screen. The veteran actor would be marking his debut on a fiction TV show with “Yudh” this time though. The senior Bachchan first forayed on TV with “Kaun Banega Crorepati” through which he marked a revolution for the medium. But even after decades of working in the entertainment industry, he still wonders if the viewers will appreciate his work.

Big B posted his anxiety of being back on the small screen on his blog early on June 9. Excerpts from his blog: “As you go through the 800 odd channels in the country, you often wonder whether with the amount of content that keeps floating around, your own effort would ever be seen or even appreciated…

“Television has become three times more remunerative than film here in the country. The turnovers say so, as do many of the viewers. I see many of the young ambitioned and determined to move from TV to film ; an adventure that favours their drive to move forward. And then there is me doing exactly the opposite and hoping and wishing that efforts made to execute something different, shall be acknowledged …

“This is a tough world … and only the tough survive!

“This is a fighting world, and only the ones that can take a few blows to the body have the capacity to endure the struggles and adversities of life …

(a comfort of the other body, makes the association a great deal more enjoyable, fulfilling and immensely more satisfying ) ..

“One cannot always be too descriptive .. and so one disguises the content, to our own standard .. it is better to be thus …” Well, it’s truly humble of someone like the megastar talking about struggling in the industry!
