Malaika Arora recently sparked a debate online about society’s acceptance of armpit hair. Even though it sounds unusual here, female actors in the west have been sporting unshaved underarms for decades even at red carpets and stage performances.
Back in 2017 unshaved armpits had become a social revolution in the US that never reached India. But now that society is growing, getting a little rough around the edges with topics like menstrual hygiene, same sex and age gap relationship and many other, female unwanted hair has become a topic, since there is no such thing as male unwanted hair.
In the wake of the recent light shed on the matter, here are some major Hollywood celebs who have rocked the raw underarms at events.
Julia Roberts was seen sporting a red dress alongside her unshaved armpits at the premier of the 1999 release Notting Hill.
Drew Barrymore over the years has rocked the free spirited look and never even addressed it in public.
