Everybody wants to look good. When should one start taking care of their skin?

I have penned down my 21 years’ of experience in my book ‘No One Needs to Know’. I have explained how from the moment you are born, your ageing process starts, your clock starts ticking. And if you have a bad lifestyle, it goes away fast. Also a lot of patients come to me saying that they want to look prettier; I tell them to just get thin.

 What lifestyle changes would you advice for a healthy and glowing skin?

How early should women start their anti-ageing regimen?

Today it’s mid-20s. Initially when I started my practice we used to say it was okay to start with night creams etc. in the mid-30s. Today the age has lowered due to peer pressure, stress, etc. Everyone wants to look good so the earlier you start the better. Looking good, in my definition, is presenting your best face forward and your body too, we should not forget that.

 What about Botox treatments, which has become a trend?

You need to decide what your standard is, where you want to be, why you are doing it. Are you trying to fix your marriage by having Botox or a liposuction? Are you trying to find happiness through that? Then it wouldn’t help; do something else to find happiness.

I would say the early 20s are okay for Botox. That’s because Botox is not just a wrinkle treatment but can help to lift droopy eyebrows. A filler can also be used to brighten up your face. Botox is good if you want a sharper jaw or to reduce sweating.
