Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s Jodi seems to be becoming one of the most favourite on-screen pairs of Bollywood. After giving critically and commercially acclaimed films like ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Savdhaan’, the duo is all set to reunite for ‘Stree’ director Amar Kaushik’s next, ‘Bala’. Confirming this delightful news, trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote, “Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar… After #DumLagaKeHaisha and #ShubhMangalSaavdhan, the duo to head the cast of quirky laugh riot, titled #Bala… Produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Amar Kaushik, the team that delivered the Blockbuster #Stree…”
In a second tweet, he wrote, “#Bala will see Ayushmann as a prematurely balding guy and Bhumi as a dusky small-town girl… Filming starts March 2019… Sept 2019 release.”
As per the tweet, Ayushmann will be seen playing a prematurely balding guy whereas Bhumi to portray a small-town dusky girl opposite ‘Vicky Donor’ star. This seems to be yet another content-driven film of Ayushmann following ‘Badhaai Ho’ which dealt with an untimely pregnancy.
On the work front, Ayushmann will next be seen opposite Nushrat Bharucha in Dream Girl while Bhumi to play one of the lead roles in Konkana Sen Sharma, Kubbra Sait starring ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’ and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer ‘Son Chiriya’.
