Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are today regarded as the leading actors in the industry. Both with multiple hits under their belt have fast become audience favourites. With rumours of their impending wedding doing the rounds, fans across the globe are eagerly awaiting the official announcement. But away from that, recently both Ranveer and Deepika were at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit talking about their meteoric rise to success, but it was Ranveer’s revelation about his reaction the first time he met Deepika that caught our attention.
Talking about the same Ranveer Singh said, “Deepika had made a public appearance and she was wearing this gown and she was looking statuesque. And this is my birthday, and I was sitting there with my parents and my sister; it was just the four of us an intimate dinner for my birthday, and I am whispering to my parents while pointing saying, ‘Deepika Padukone….Deepika’. They ask me are you going to say hi. And I say yeah, yeah I will say hi, later. All this is happening, and Deepika and her colleagues have gotten up and are leaving, and I am going to go and say hi, but by this time I have eaten something wrong and I have broken into hives on my face! This is the first time I am meeting Deepika Padukone, who I think is gorgeous, and I want to make a good impression but I have broken into hives. So this whole time we are have a conversation, I was conscious of these big pox on my face that are throbbing and growing by the second. So I was trying to dodge the light so she doesn’t see them”.
While it was interesting to know that Ranveer Singh was as nervous as any guy meeting his crush, what he said next is sure to make you go aww… Continuing Ranveer added, “I remember thinking my take away from that evening was, ‘How can anybody look like THAT!’”
Back on the film front, Ranveer Singh will next be seen in Simmba, Gully Boy and Takht, while Deepika Padukone will be turning producer in a film based on acid attack victim Laxmi Agarwal in which she will be seen playing the main protagonist.
