Parineeti Chopra, who has made it in Bollywood with the illustrious YRF banner, is said to be acting a little difficult these days. She has so much on her plate and so early in her career that according to many in the industry the stress is showing. Others say that nothing pleases her as she keeps tossing many scripts aside even before reading them. This allegation became worth pondering over when Parineeti rejected Shoojit Sircar’s PIKU starring Amitabh Bachchan. The reason she provided for giving up on PIKU was the ubiquitous date issues obviously but, according to insiders, she has developed an attitude problem as big banners like YRF and Dharma Productions are there to back her. With HASEE TOH PHASEE about to release, and DAWAT-E-ISHQ and KILL DILL in her kitty, she is clearly flying high and simply has no bandwidth to accommodate more. However, the allegations that she has become too pricy and has snubbed many people from the industry, may not be entirely true either. While the world is accusing her of being snooty, in her defence the busy actress said, “I told Shoojit Sir that I would love to shoot for his film if there’s any chance but I think they have already blocked the dates of Mr.Bachchan and Irrfan for this year. I am still hoping with all my heart that I can still be a part of it. I can do maximum two-to-three films in a year as we take three months to complete the shooting for a film. Also, I prep a lot on every film of mine before it starts and that’s how I managed to win the awards last year. I want to continue doing that. Unfortunately, now I can’t spare 15-20 days a month to prep as I am busy 18 hours a day. It’s so sad when people say I have an attitude problem. Anybody who knows me will vouch that I’m not that kind of person. People don’t know the kind of hours I am putting in every day. In the day I shoot for DAAWAT-E-ISHQ, evening I go for HASEE TOH PHASEE promotions and at night I am dubbing again for KILL DILL. The last time I had a day off was in August last year. I have been working every single day and if that’s translated as having an attitude problem, it’s fine because I just can’t please everybody! I work very hard to finish all my projects.” Well, we all know how success is always termed as snoot-fest in Tinsel Town where everyone is always ready to pull everyone down! As for Parineeti, who is a young entrant in this trade, till the time she keeps pleasing her audience, she’s safe.
